From signup to your first daily intelligence email in about ten minutes. Follow the steps in order — step 4 is the one most people skip, and it's the difference between partial and complete coverage.
Go to app.spyline.io/register. Enter your name, email and a password, then type in the 6-digit code we email you. That's the whole signup — no credit card, no sales call.
Didn't get the code? Check spam, or hit Resend code on the verify screen.
The welcome wizard asks three things: your company name, your website, and what you sellin one sentence (e.g. “Payroll automation for mid-market retailers”). From that, Spyline suggests your likely direct competitors — tick the real ones, remove the wrong ones, or add competitors manually by name and website.
Start with your top 4–5 competitors. More competitors means more noise per email; you can always add or remove later from the Companies tab.
The moment you finish the wizard, Spyline starts working through each company:
First results appear within minutes; the full picture fills in over the first hour. After that, Spyline re-sweeps automatically around the clock — you never trigger anything manually.
Spyline can only watch pages it knows about. It finds the obvious ones on its own, but a competitor's blog, newsroom, changelog and careers pagesoften live on paths or subdomains that automated discovery can miss. If you skip this step, you'll still get website and media signals — but you can miss the announcements they publish on their own turf, which is usually where launches appear first.
For each competitor, one time:
theirsite.com/blog).Two minutes per competitor, and your coverage goes from “most of it” to “all of it.”
site:theirsite.com blog — the first result is almost always it.The Feed is your timeline of everything that changed, newest first. Every signal shows the company, what kind of change it is (website, pricing, media, tech, SEO…), and an importance level — Highmeans “read this today,” Low means “context, not action.” Click any signal for the full detail: what exactly changed, and Spyline's read on why it matters.
The movers strip at the top shows which competitors are most active lately — a burst of activity from one rival is itself a signal.

Set a Monitoring Intenton companies that matter most — e.g. “Flag any pricing change or new compliance certification” — and Spyline weighs its analysis toward what you said you care about.
Open Compare. Your company is pinned in the first column; pick up to 3 competitors for the others. You get a side-by-side of positioning, tech, SEO scores and domain signals — the fastest way to answer “where are we actually behind?” before a board meeting or a big call.
The Ask tab is a research analyst over everything Spyline has gathered about your market. Ask it things like “What did our competitors change on pricing this month?”, “Summarize CompetitorX's positioning versus ours”, or “Which rival is moving fastest right now?” — and get an answer grounded in your actual tracked data, not generic web knowledge.
This is the part that saves you the daily check-in:
Add teammates under Settings → Email recipientsso the whole team gets the digest — they don't need Spyline accounts to receive it.
Under Settings → Triggers, every rule reads like a sentence: when a signal kind (pricing, website, media, any…), for everyone or one specific company, at an importance threshold — then email, immediately or as an hourly/daily digest.
Every account starts with a sensible default — any High-importance signal emails you instantly. A useful second rule: any pricing change, for your closest rival, at any importance, immediately.
That's step 4 — open the company and add their blog URL and media page. Coverage starts from the next sweep.
Normal. Day one builds the baseline; signals appear when things change against it. Most workspaces see their first real signals within a day or two.
Check spam once and mark it “Not spam.” Also remember: a day with nothing worth telling you sends no email — that's by design.
Email hello@spyline.io — a founder answers, usually same day.
